How to Use Alexa Cast to Stream Music to Your Echo Speakers

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect smart speaker, Alexa Cast is finally here. This feature lets you stream audio and video from your phone to your Echo speakers. Like Google Cast, it works with Amazon Music and is designed to bridge the gap between the Echo product and the streaming services offered through Amazon Prime. Despite this limited functionality, Alexa Cast is still a welcome addition to any smart speaker. And if you’re still unsure about whether you need one, read on for some tips and tricks that will help you decide.

Alexa Cast is compatible with all of Amazon’s Alexa-enabled devices, including its smart speakers. To enable the feature, simply update the Amazon PrimeMusic app. Then, look for an icon named “Alexa Cast.” This will open the list of synced Alexa devices and allow you to choose the device that plays the music. Once the feature is enabled on your device, you can simply ask Alexa to cast the music to your speakers.

To cast music, you must first connect your Echo to the new speaker. Once connected, simply tap the Alexa Cast icon in the speaker’s menu. You can also switch music from one Echo to another by pressing the same button on the other speaker. Once the music has been cast to your speaker, you can control its volume and skip tracks. Moreover, you can switch music services by pressing the playback icon. If you want to change the music service, you can also connect your Echo to another speaker, such as your smartphone or tablet.
